Christian's Adoption Story
Once upon a time, there was a little baby. Now this baby didn't have a name , because he was not yet born. He was still in his mommy's tummy. His mommy was a young, unmarried lady. Now many young women would abort a baby in this situation, but not his. She knew God had created this baby. The Word of God says “I knew you before I knit you in your mother's womb.” So, there was no way she was going to destroy God's creation.
She loved this baby so much She wanted the very best for him. As she thought and prayed about him she kept thinking of the many distractions and struggles she would have trying to raise him. Then she thought, “there are many people whose hearts are longing for a baby. People, who are ready to raise a child.”, “That's it!” she thought, “I will look for a couple who can't have children but long for one. People who would make my son the center of their world.” And that is what she did. She went to an adoption agency and looked through many books that told about peoples' lives. She came upon one that your Daddy & I had made, and she decided we were the couple to raise her precious baby. She knew we would love you and teach you about God.
That's when we got a call saying you would be our son. The first time we held you in our arms, we knew we would give our lives for you. You are God's blessing to us. And we will always remember and honor your birth mommy for the brave and selfless decision she made. She gave you life when it would have been easier not to. She took the road less traveled. She is a true hero.
Well, this may sound like the end of your story, but it is truly only the beginning because God has a great plan for your life. Daddy and I will do everything we can to see that you fulfill God's call on your life, and when required, you, just like your birth mommy, will take the road less traveled. We love you—You truly are our miracle baby.
